Pop's Honey Fried Chicken

I just purchased the 1 piece breast with 2 sides. $5.99. Not bad. A lot of side choice and I chose black eyed peas with ocra and Mac and cheese. First bite was of the Mac. Bad-real bad. Watery-no flavor and just couldn’t eat it. Then the peas. Ok. Not much flavor at all though. Then, the chicken. Thus redeeming the poor sides. Very big-tender and crispy. I will try this place again sometime and hopefully get better results

Pop's fried chicken has a very nice crispy crust. I like eating here because it has a big selection of vegetables and main dishes- not just chicken. It is also very reasonably priced.

We love their fried chicken! Wish the sides were a little better and roll were softer but everyone who works here are super nice. They seem like one big family.

This place has great down home cooking and even has a drive through that's really fast for a smaller place. I ordered three meals and got them just a minute or two after I ordered. The black eyed peas are wonderfully seasoned and served with sliced okra, the fried okra was fried just right and the fried catfish was too. The only reason this place didnt get a perfect rating was because the batter could use a touch more seasoning, but it was filling, affordable, and the staff was friendly, if your hungry for down home cooking that's affordable and tasty, Pop's is the place for you!

This chicken was so good. Had it for lunch today. It was a bit hard to find because their address is wrong in Apple Maps. Would have gotten five stars except the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were a little bland. Could use a little seasoning. The fries chicken was absolutely perfect though as was the fried catfish. The corn bread was phenomenal too. All in all I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Oh my god, this place is SO GOOD!! I’m pretty sure they are related to the infamous, “Babe’s” chicken restaurant, because my last to-go order was packaged in boxes with the “Babe’s” label on the front. Also, the rolls and fried chicken definitely have that magical Babe’s flavor to them. This might be my new favorite fast food place in DFW!

I have to say we love this place. We dont go to Terrell much but when we do we go here. The fries chicken is amazing but so is the rest of the food. The pricing is crazy cheap. It is cheaper for me to eat here and get a full meal then to go eat fast food and the service is just as quick of not quicker. This is one place you do not want to miss out on if you are in the area.

This place is great. The food is good and reasonably priced. The service is good. They already have everything prepared like a cafeteria. You can eat in, take it to go or go through the drive thru.

I've visited this place since I was young with my family/church family and anytime I'm in Terrell or think of Terrell I always think of here. Sunday dinner after church this is the place to go. Its busy but definitely worth it and the staff make you feel at home

The place has been remodeled and it is beautiful and the food was delicious we enjoyed eating there every chance that we get.

The sign reads "A Terrell tradition" walking inside you're greeted with a cafeteria style eatery where you can peruse each item and order what looks appetizing. Considering my son is one of the pickiest eaters I know and he DEVOURED his plate and everything on it I'd say this family has the corner cut on chicken.

Had the #4 - Chicken breast with 2 veggies and rolls. It was good!

Love this place for value and speed. You ever have those times when you don't feel like cooking but you want some comfort food ? Pop's is the place you want to visit. The prices on the chicken and it comes with sides like mashed potatoes or green beans, dressing or potato salad. The best part is that these items are already cooked so you can eat there or get it to go.

I had a wonderful experience in this place. We liked the amazing vibes and the food. The staff members were super attentive. I am content we finally decided to visit this spot.

In town for a funeral, went to this spot for dinner. It was well worth the chance on the name, had the fish, collard greens, sweet potatoes, and black eyed peas. Good home style cooking with flavor and taste, will be back next time I'm in Terrell. 👍👍

Best place in town!! More than just fried chicken

What can I say about Pop's Fried Chicken it's a great place to eat if you happen to be in the Terrell Texas area I recommend you stop being I do every time I pass by low price something like 7 Bucks not sure 3 piece chicken your home styles sides are you choosing that's what I had this last time every now and then I'll get the chicken gizzards and gravy I love those two haven't really eaten anything there that was bad I take your order and give you your food dine-in there's a cafeteria style line.

First time here, we will be back! Everything we had was great, except the bread. The service isn't the friendliest but works for what it is I guess. The food is more than enough to make up for it. Yum!!

POP's is a long standing buffet that is consistent! It's nothing special, but it's inexpensive, consistent, and clean! I suggest the chicken legs! They are good. My brother swears by them!
